Candles and Carols (pause on Christmas Eve with us)

The thing about December is that there are so many highlights. Everything from walking through Christmas lights to school performances to downtown markets... there are memories to be made everywhere you look.

I mentioned on Sunday that one of my favourite services of the year just happened - our "big" Christmas service with the choir and kids performances (and don't forget about those young adults on the Boomwhackers!). But I have to say that Christmas Eve ranks just a bit higher on my favourites list.

The Christmas Eve service is a sacred space. We will settle in with carols and some beautiful special music, scripture reading and thoughtful reflections on the texts, and light candles to mark the most incredible occasion of Jesus coming to save us.

If you are looking for a few precious moments to centre your heart and thank God for the gift of Jesus, if you are looking for service to invite someone who is not following Him but you'd like to introduce them, or if you are looking to establish traditions in this season that will point your kids to Him, please join us on Christmas Eve. We'd love to share an hour with you in quiet worship.

Here's an invitation you can download and send to someone who's on your heart this Christmas. Or, just send them to our website. We have lots of information to help people who are new to church know what to expect when they join us for a service.

Hope, Love, Joy, Peace... and now, Christ. See you on Christmas Eve,
Pastor Tracy
